Description:
This medium sized "Pebble Stone" and "Textured Jungle" glazed ceramic pet drinking fountain with a secured coon lid and a lizard spout, glazed in light "dark jungle", filters and aerates continuously moving water to keep it much fresher than standing bowl water.
This fountain's lid is secured with stainless steal pins making it impossible for even an extremely large and rambunctious cat to dismantle the fountain, and the center water ring makes it difficult to scoop water out. Add to this a pinned cover for the backflow area and you have a dismantle-proof, mess inhibiting cat fountain. Kitty can drink out of the lid's center water ring, or lick the water coming out of the frog's mouth. 

Our fountains have tree filters. The first filter is an easy to clean stainless steel mesh (placed in the backflow opening) that catches hair, food, etc, preventing the pump from clogging. The second filter is a foam filter, behind the pump's inlet water adjuster. For the third filter, you have your choice of housing for the Drinkwell 360 filter and one cartridge or Ebi’s refillable Bio Filter with one filter media bag and charcoal fill. The Drinkwell is easier since you just pop one cartridge out and another in; the Bio Filter is much more economical since you fill it with course grade aquarium charcoal and if you buy a gallon size at ca. $20 online plus ca. $9 shipping, you can refill the filter for several years. This second and third filter catches the finer particles and are well hidden in the bowl, easy to reach for you but not the pet - and simple to change. The fountain is also equipped with a quiet, safe low-voltage pump and a variable transformer that allows you to adjust the water speed.
Unlike plastic pet fountains that develop cracks, this drinking fountain is made of durable, nonporous dinnerware-safe glazed stoneware. Clay and glazes are certified non-toxic and made in the USA. Ceramic resists bacteria, commonly found on porous plastic surfaces. The fountain has just 4 parts - bowl, lid, filter and pump -, enabling simple, thorough cleaning.
