Drinking fountain for Persian cats
Persians are long-haired, flat-faced cats. Even more so than
other long-haired cats, their face and chest hair get wet while
drinking out of a "normal" water bowl or drinking fountain. They
can soon develop skin infections and stained fur due to the
constant dampness. It takes a specially designed drinking
fountain to keep them dry; that's why we created this cat water
fountain at the special request of our Persian cat friends. As
the fountain shown below illustrates, the special drinking
indentations are just large enough to allow cats to drink, but
keep their fur dry and stain-free. Their tongues fit in, but
their facial and chest hair is protected. The water in the
indentations stays at a constant height and is continuously
circulated and exchanged with freshly filtered water. We can
create these ceramic cat drinking fountains in any size, color,
and with any decoration you like. The small water fountain has
2, the medium fountain 3, and the large fountain up to 5
drinking holes in the ceramic lid cover. You have a choice of
different drinking opening sizes!

Cordless battery fountains
Our cordless fountains use rechargeable batteries or D-cells.
The batteries are placed in a special compartment inside the
fountain (no cable accessible outside). This solution is
flexible enough that you can still "plug them in" if desired.

Drinking fountains with dismantle-proof and scoop-proof lids
These water fountains are specially designed for fast drinking dogs or cats who love to "scoop" water out of their fountain. The narrow drinking area surrounded by a wide rim encourages your dog or cat to drink at a slower pace and keeps the water in the drinking fountain and off the floor. You can get them with an additional cover for the drinking area, leaving just drinking holes open for drinking similar to the Persian fountain. They can be equipped with a removable insert that leaves just small areas open for drinking similar to the Persian fountain.
Drinking fountain for curious and "playful" cats
These drinking fountains are specially designed for
rambunctious cats who love to "thump" lids and "scoop" water out
of their fountain. The narrow drinking area surrounded by a wide
rim keeps water in the fountain and off the floor. All parts are
secured with stainless steel cotter pins, making this fountain
dismantle proof.

Pumpless gravity cat waterer
These automatic pumpless gravity cat water
dispensers use a 1 liter VioSol/Miron bottle, a 32 oz clear
glass bottle or a 1.5 liter PE water bottle as water reservoir.
You can get them with 1, 2 or 3 drinking openings. It is easy to clean and fill. The water level automatically
replenishes for maximum convenience.

Our concepts for battery operated pet drinking fountains
All of our water fountains for cats and dogs can be powered by
battery or a low voltage power adapter. We've offered battery pet
fountains for over 10 years. You can battery-power your pet
fountain or plug it into a nearby outlet; it's up to you. The
pumps we use are special low power consumption DC pumps, known for
their performance and reliability; they run a long time before
it's necessary to recharge/exchange batteries.
We specialize in custom made fountains and craft them in the size,
color and with the spout you and your cats prefer. If you don't
wish to wait for a fountain crafted specifically for you (usually
takes 4 to 6 weeks), please see the cordless or wireless battery

(generally ships within 2 business days and takes 2 to 6 days

The
round cordless fountain with a horizontal battery
compartment comes in 3 different sizes: small, medium
and large. It can be equipped with any of our
spouts. The battery is hidden underneath the lid in
a compartment separated from the water storage
compartment. There's a rotary on-/off-switch at the back
of the fountain hidden underneath the lid's elongated
rim. There are three different filter systems to choose
from. Because the battery/batteries are placed
horizontally, the fountain can be built shorter. Be
aware that the battery compartment of a small fountain
is not as wide as the compartment of a medium or large
fountain, which restricts the type and number of
batteries that can be used for a smaller fountain of
this type.

battery operated or, as previously, “plugged in” using a
low-voltage power transformer.

The
square cordless fountain is available in
size large (9-inch side length) and XL (12-inch). It can be equipped with
any of our spouts. The battery is hidden underneath
the lid in a compartment separated from the water
storage compartment. There's a rotary on-/off-switch at
the back or side of this fountain covered by a
protective handle. Having a battery compartment inside
your water fountain reduces the water holding capacity
of the fountain. The size/shape of this battery
compartment allows you to use large batteries but not
multiple batteries. As with the other concepts, you have
two different filter systems to choose from.

This
round cordless fountain with battery compartment
below is available in size medium to XL and can be
equipped with any of our spouts. There are two different
filter systems to choose from. The downside of this
concept is that the battery compartment is smaller than
the compartments in the concepts above and the
compartment adds considerably to the fountain’s drinking
height.

The new economy fountain has a battery
compartment at the back of the fountain hidden
underneath a protective cover. The water stays open in
the bowl (so no lid) and there's only one standard
spout. This fountain comes with a simple foam filter,
but a media bag with activated charcoal can be added in
front of the pump’s inlet grid for more effective
filtration. The advantage of this fountain is its simple
design, making it easier for us to craft and therefore
more economical in price than our other battery operated
fountains.
An external battery solution is for people who
don’t have an outlet nearby and who don’t care that a
cable and battery box are visible in the vicinity of the
fountain. Having a battery outside of your water fountain
or using a detached battery compartment leaves more room
for water inside the fountain. You can choose between a
D-cell box or using a rechargeable Li-Ion USB battery
(power pack). As in all of our battery options, we do not
supply the batteries but provide tips on which batteries
will work. The batteries must be purchased separately from
a reputable dealer.

Every battery should
be protected from water, but Li-Ion batteries (USBs) are
particularly sensitive to water damage because they have
electronics inside. We craft our internal battery compartments to
keep the batteries dry but there is always the possibility of
condensation forming, so it is imperative that the battery(ies) be
enclosed in a water tight Ziploc bag before putting them inside
the compartment. Likewise, if your cat has the propensity to play
in the water, external batteries need to be protected as well. You
have about 6 feet of cord available, so put them in a higher
place, a nearby drawer or a waterproof container.

The
Persian cat drinking fountain
This cat water fountain was designed at the special request of our Persian
cat friends, who's cats tend to "bathe" in their drinking fountains. The
three drinking indentations (for the medium fountain shown in the pictures
below), are just large enough to allow the cat to drink - keeping them
hydrated. Only their tongues can fit in the indentations keeping their fur
clean and dry. The water in the indentations stays at a constant height
and is continuously circulated and exchanged with freshly filtered water.
We can create these drinking fountains in any size, color and decoration
you like. The small water fountain has 2, the medium 3 and the large
fountain 4 indentations in the lid cover.

EBI Fountains for Cats
I have a difficult cat. Funfetti does not like, and will not drink from,
a water bottle. After many days of trying to get Funfetti to switch from
a bowl to a water bottle, I finally gave up. She is one stubborn cat.
The problem with a water bowl is if you have a cat like Funfetti who
likes to "Ruff Dive" this can create mess, damp skin and fur, and in
Funfetti's case she developed a skin infection from always having damp

The pumpless Persian cat

The "mess inhibiting"
fountain with secured lid:
This fountain's lid is secured with stainless steal pins
making it impossible for even an extremely large and rambunctious
cat to dismantle the fountain, and the center water ring makes it
difficult to scoop water out. Add to this a pinned cover for the backflow
area and you have a dismantle-proof, mess inhibiting cat fountain. Kitty
can drink out of the lid's center water ring, or lick the water coming out
of the spout.

The dog fountain with an
automatic refill system :
The automatic water refill system in this fountain maintains
the water at a constant level. The system can be connected by a 1/4 inch
PE tube to either a drinking water dispenser such as the "Ceramic Crock"
(not included) or your house water system (just like your refrigerator
water supply line). An overflow hose can also be connected for added
protection.
We can create these fountains in any color and with any spout you choose.
The water cascades over 2 flowers into the 2 inch deep lid and from there
through a pre-filter back into the water reservoir. The low voltage pump
transports the water through a charcoal filter up through the flower
cascade and the cycle begins anew. The wide elevated rim helps keep the
water inside the fountain when doggy or kitty drinks.
The cone fountain :
The water spills out of the frog's mouth, cascades down 3
flowers into a flat bowl and from there through a foam filter back into
the cone. The low voltage pump presses the water through a charcoal filter
up through the frog's mouth and the cycle begins anew. The pet has many
possibilities for drinking: the water streaming from the frog's mouth, the
water standing in or streaming from the flowers, or licking water out of
the lower flat bowl.
